Some cars survive because they’re rare. Others survive because they matter. This 1969 Toyota Corona RT40 is the latter, having stayed in the same family since it was delivered to its current owner’s grandfather in 1969.
For over five decades, it remained in constant use—serving as daily transport, a wedding car, and a quiet witness to life unfolding across generations. Along the way, it earned a name: “Nil Gari.”

The Revival
Bringing it back wasn’t about perfection—it was about preserving the car’s history and the memories it carried.
Sourcing the right parts meant looking far beyond local markets, refusing shortcuts in favor of authenticity. The body was carefully restored to its original form, every line reflecting its 1969 character.
At the heart of the project was a mechanic who had known the car for most of its life. Guided by experience rather than manuals, the restoration followed a deep familiarity, with the final touches completed by the next generation.

More Than a Car
Today, “Nil Gari” is more than restored—it’s alive again.
Not defined by rarity or value, but by memory. A machine that carried decades of life now continues forward, still telling its story with every drive.
